Sinopsis:

“Invictus” cuenta la verídica historia de cómo Nelson Mandela unió sus esfuerzos con el capitán del equipo de rugby de Sudáfrica, François Pienaar, para ayudar a unir el país. El recién elegido presidente Mandela es consciente de que su nación sigue estando dividida tanto racial como económicamente debido a las secuelas del Apartheid. Creyendo que puede unir a su pueblo a través del lenguaje universal del deporte, Mandela apoya al desamparado equipo de rugby de Sudáfrica cuando, con pocas probabilidades, participa en el Campeonato Mundial de 1995.
