Sinopsis

Eliza Welch (Uma Thurman) vive cómodamente en el barrio West Village de Nueva York, tiene dos hijos pequeños, un marido cariñoso pero muy despistado (Anthony Edwards) y un enorme deseo de encontrarse a sí misma y poder retomar su abandonada carrera de escritora. Adaptación a la gran pantalla de la obra El retrato de Dorian Gray, escrito por Oscar Wilde.
Dorian Gray (Ben Barnes) es un atractivo aristócrata que regresa a su Londres natal tras pasar la adolescencia aislado en el campo. Abrumado por la vida nocturna londinense, Dorian se sumerge en ella de la mano de Lord Henry Wottom (Colin Firth), quien le muestra los lugares más recónditos y peculiares de la capital inglesa.
Dorian pronto comienza a obsesionarse con alcanzar la eterna juventud. Un retrato suyo pintado por Basil Hallward (Ben Chaplin) se convertirá en un recordatorio palpable de sus graves faltas con el paso del tiempo.
